PUBG Game App Review & Guide

The gaming industry has evolved significantly over the course of last three decades. Initially, we used PCs for gaming then we shifted towards consoles and now we are moving towards the mobile. Although, there have been a long debate on whether the PC is superior, or the console delivers a better gaming experience. I am not going to go in that debate.

The latest sensation that has taken the gaming world by storm is PUBG. Yes, you might have heard about it even if you have not played it. It made its debut on Xbox and PC. Everyone was so fascinated by the game on the console that they started to set high hopes of its mobile release. Some are skeptical about its gameplay on mobile and how will it run on mobile devices. With the expectations sky high, the PUBG game was launched for mobile.

In this article, you will be able to read PUBG review on mobile and also shares a PUBG guide to master the game.

What is PUBG?

PUBG stands for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. PUBG is a multiplayer online battle royale game developed by PUBG Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Korean publisher Bluehole. Brendan Greene, game designer who created PUBG took inspiration from Japanese movie, “Battle Royale” and you can see shades of that in the game.

PUBG Mobile

If you have played PUBG on Xbox, you will feel right at home playing PUBG on mobile. What’s amazing about the PUBG app is how beautifully it manages to replicate the experience on smaller screen. You will get the same experience on mobile as you did on console, but the options are somewhat limited when it comes to maps.

Gameplay

Hundreds of people will be playing alongside you on a deserted island. You have to collect resources and indulge in a frag fight with other participants until you are the last man standing. As soon as you drop onto a map and see all of the island of Erangel sprawled out before you in real-time is an amazing experience on a mobile.

If you two participants land in two different corners of the map, they might not meet. To solve this problem, a circle will pop up. Once you get inside that circle, its size starts to decrease with respect to time. Staying outside the circle means your health bar starts to depreciate. If you want to become the last man standing you should get inside that circle.

Similar games do not fare well on touch screens due to its poor touch screen controls. Although, the touch screen controls are way better when you compare it multiplayer shooting games, but it is not perfect. When you have bullets in the gun, buttons pop up aiming down the sights, you can fire with both thumbs, but you can not aim and fire at the same time. With only couple of seconds to react after seeing your target, it is hard to line up your shot and kill him. You can get use to these controls after playing couple of matches, but many players are finding it difficult to aim right.

When playing PUBG on a PC and console, you can take your time and it is easier to hide behind trees and house to stay undetected but when you are on mobile, everything moves at a faster pace. The game developer has tried to overcome their shortcomings in controls by automating certain tasks. The character in the game can automatically collect, load and switches the gun to auto fire mode.

To keep players engaged, the game offers you daily login bonuses and timely rewards. Make your gaming experience even more social by connecting your Facebook profile and find friends to play with. You can either play the game as first-person shooter or third person shooter.

Weapons

Assault rifles, sniper rifles, hand guns and flare guns are some of the weapons you can use to kill your enemies in the game.

Vehicles

You can either choose from flipping vehicles such as flipping cars and bikes. Unfortunately, the bikes and cars are hard to control on mobile devices, especially when you in the heat of the action.

Limited Time Events

There are some limited time events such as

  1. Metal Rain
  2. Tequila Sunrise

Maps

There are three different types of maps on offer to keep the players interest alive.

  1. Sanhok
  2. Erangel
  3. Miramar

Sanhok is a smaller than other two maps on this list and can challenge you strategically. Erangel is the original map but it can be quite challenging for new gamers. Miramar is an ideal choice for those players who likes to slow things out a bit and play the game. Despite getting a bad reputation at launch, it is slowly becoming popular amongst some players.
